GRANDMA BEAR wears today
Grandma Bear thinks it's safer in these times to travel only in her mind, so she takes the autumn sun under the palm tree. The 1960'BRACELET from TOLEDO without Toledo-Work 😹 but with Lucite 'Mother-of-Pearl' stones makes her dream of past hot summer days.
It has a security chain, so even if she doesn't close it, she won't loose it. Not that she forgets anything, at least nothing important, she's not THAT old, you understand..... 😼
Can you spot Mutzo? 🐾

GRANDMA BEAR's grandsons wear today
Souvenir from the 1980' - MURANO MILLEFIORI GLASS and 800 Silver PENDANT bought in Venice
One of the twins (Grandma Bears grandsons, now in their fifties themselves) has decided to show off a Venice Millefiori Murano Glass and Silver pendant - the 1980' version of the Micromosaic Jewelry Souvenirs. And where is Mutzo?
Here he is! Don't let the naughty twins disturb you! You know, they are much younger than you, doesn't matter that they will retire soon 👻 Give a damn to admire the Venice Millefiori Murano glass Pendant from the 1980', do you? 😹. Anyway, as they are straw stuffed Teddy Bears they prefer not to be touched.
The back side is nearly identical to the front. Marked 800 and with an illegible Italian maker's mark in the bail.
One of the last Hibiscus Blooms for this year rivals in color 🧡

GRANDMA BEAR wears today
1970' MICROMOSAIC Rose Flower BRACELET - Souvenir from holidays on the Adriatic Sea
Today Grandma Bear is wearing an Italian Souvenir Micro-mosaic Bracelet from the 1970' as a collar. Mutzo managed to sneak into the picture too, at least a tiny piece of him 🐾
Gorgeous boldly colored flowers in white metal rosettes lift up her spirits immediately. She doesn't accept me to tell her it's junk, as it reminds her of better (and younger) times 😹

Boulcé Fabric Coat with Sequins / Mantel aus Bouclé-Stoff mit Pailletten / Cappotto di tessuto bouclé con paillettes
I love ankle-length clothes since I was a teen, when 'midi' 'became modern, and on a still not fully grown girl it was longer than intended.
Still remember my first two coats of this type - one in black off my aunt's wardrobe, 1950', with tight body and flared lower part . It was my first 'adult' piece.
The second one I received for Christmas, and it was an even greater wonder: A-line Betty Barclay with tight body, and a short cape over it, trimmed with fake fur. Nobody else in my school had a coat like this, and I felt so proud! ;-)
Many of you will not know, but these were the days when children received special clothes only for Christmas and Birthdays, plus things knitted or tailored by your mother, grandmother or aunts. I was lucky because allowed to raid the wardrobes of items in disuse of all three - think that's when my love of Vintage was born. They had so many amazing 50'clothes!!! No older things, though, because the war had left over absolutely nothing in the area where I was born.
My 'special' aunt adapted them all for me. And after ten years of making clothes for my Barbie (yes, single, even the 'rich' girls had just one, and maybe a Ken :)) I started handcrafting for myself, and soon had to claim the storeroom behind mine for lack of space. Another aunt presented me with her old sofa, armchairs and low table - 50' too - and I felt like a princess in her vast castle :lol
Gone are those days, and I only remember them now, while thinking of a story to tell.
It started with me wishing to post several flared skirts on the theme of red. Putting them together I decided immediately to wear a 50' radial pleated tiered tartan flannel one.
Over it came a recently acquired coat - of black bouclé fabric with sequins, which reminded me of one in my mother's wardrobe which I never was allowed to wear because it was new.
---------------------------------------------

Introducing to you my cats
MUTZO, a 10 years old male, who holds the World Record in Fast Eating. The only reason why he isn't mentioned in the Guiness Book of Records is that immediately afterwards he......ohoh......let's talk about something else. Anyway, he manages not to be a lightweight......
