FLOWER POWER

Today we had another grey, rainy day here in Milan - so I'm longing for something bright, with strong colors.

Yes, I know - the first thought flies over to a cristalline sea around a tropic isle.........



..... but it is the right day too to show you an outfit I posted on IG two weeks ago, when we still had fairly nice weather

The dress is early 70', of wool jersey mixed with synthetic fibers that make the fabric lighter, but still dense enough to use it in cooler climate.

For a hippy mood I accessorized with a bone mask necklace of colorfully  dyed beads

and one out of my collection of snake bracelets

Here's another choice: 1980' necklace of acid green Lucite beads.

The lime green Redwall bag, too, adds some glow.

For outside, a shearling gilet - a 1950' jacket I took the sleeves off, with a belt braided of 1950' straw hatband and another one of leather.

A word aside

When I took pictures of late 19th century critter pins pinned onto the dress, I made some holes in the fabric, which isn't elastic any more as new cloth would be.

So be very careful with vintage textiles!!
