INSIDE LIFE in English/Deutsch/Italiano

When inside outshines outside

Maybe you have already noticed it in recent jackets, where it's fairly obvious, as it can be seen easily when taken off - but it's more a secret in other items. I even found some skirts with patterns on the lining (jacket Antonella Manoli)

(giacca Antonella Manoli)

                                          ca.2010

some decent.....
einige in dezenten Mustern.....
alcuni con disegni decenti.....

end of 1970' antiques leather / Antikleder vom Ende der 70erJahre /  cuoio anticato, fine anni '70
probably made in Turkey

.....some less
.....einige etwas weniger
.....alcuni un po' meno

treated to seem elephant leather - absolutely incongruent lining in color and pattern, if not to give the impression that it comes from far away...;-))) (made in Italy)

1970' Vintage

                             ****************************************

It's especially the case in leather jackets, recent or vintage

                                            Nigel Preston

                                    Rentor (made in Italy), 1970'

Frama (made in Italy), leather and gabardine, 1960'

but not only

                                    Roberto Cavalli 1990'/2000

Loud John Galliano jacket  already seen here with decent lining that includes his name

                                           ***************************************

This is not meant to be a too serious post - just to make you take a closer look sometimes, as it's worth while

  49. For me, seeing beautiful lining is always something to look forward to. The lining is not visible at first but it becomes visible when we take of our jacket or coat- so in that sense it can be quite a fashion statement! a subtle fashion statement, but a fashion statements nevertheless.

    Thank you for sharing!

  57. Hello Rosa!!!!! Your posts always teach me something new. They also give me the opportunity to appreciate wonderful pieces that carry a lot of history and love from the people who originally created them. Absolutely amazing! But this post also teaches me something else. It teaches me to appreciate the beauty within. It teaches me to always look deeper and find the hidden beauty that is always present in everything and that most of the time gets forgotten or never seen. Thanks so much my friend and I am definitively amazed by all the amazing pieces you own. On another note, yes! We made smoothies with the strawberries and I am freezing some of them for later. I also made a strawberry salad and a salad dressing that I am planning to share pretty soon:-) Have a wonderful week!! XOXO, Jeannette
